Through the Wind and the Rain Fanzine Archives

Shortly after the Hillsborough disaster, stickers started going up around Anfield bearing the logos of the S** and the St**. Underneath them was written 'Boycott these obscenities.' The point is, it wasn't only the S** who printed lies about Liverpool fans.

Then why has only Souness been pilloried for his dealings with certain papers? If everyone insists on calling him 'Suness' then surely we should start referring to our goalkeeper as Grobbelstar, since he was regularly in that paper? Why stop there? How come on-one took the players to task for giving the St** exclusive pictures of their Christmas party?

Everyone knows the part the FA played at Hillsborough, so why wasn't Millichip given the abuse he deserved when he came on the pitch before the Southampton game to help 'open' the new stand? I'm not trying to condone what Souness did, or say tow wrongs make a right. It's just that while lots of people feel genuinely aggrieved about it, there seem to be others who see his dealing with the S** as another stick to beat him with.
