The Truth - Recognise the headline?

That's what the Daily Star reported immediately after Hillsborough. A series of accusations were made about urinating on police, and picking the pockets of the victims. Needless to say none of this emerged in the Taylor inquiry.

The Star is no better than the Sun and should be treated in similar fashion. The Liverpool players don't agree. In fact they gave the newspaper exclusive pictures of their annual xmas party. I can't quite contain my anger whenever I think about it; do the players have no morals? I've no idea if they received payment, I can't believe they didn't. Will they do anything for money? Perhaps no – in Pete Davies' World Cup book ALL PLAYED OUT, it says Steve McMahon turned down ten grand from the Sun for his Italia 90 diary. Why then did they put their faces in the Star? If they were paid, surely it didn't amount to much per man?
